Strong tempo from Disco Kicks, Mainshow and Alnaud. This is the first meeting on the synthetic track and it will be interesting to see how it plays. Locally trained gallopers may be advantaged. Tricky. METALIC MARLIN (2) was tracking well before getting too far back at Northam. He's suited by the step up to 1800m and the in-form Fiore is reunited. GOLD ENIGMA (6) keeps improving and should run it right out. Pike rode last time and Watson is reunited. EXCAVATION (4) is the one with upside. Worked home well to find a place here on the turf on debut and gave every impression the step up in trip will suit. DISCO KICKS (5) hasn't been missing by far and also deserves consideration. SUGGESTED PLAY: Metalic Marlin appeals most.
