On Broadway has good early speed and can set a decent tempo. SUMO SANDY (5) travelled handy then drove hard along the fence to get up for second on debut over 1400m at Sandown last start. Perfectly placed over an extra furlong in a softer maiden so he looks the goods. CARRY ON LIZZY (6) was lining up for the third time and having her first try at the mile when a well beaten third last time out at Swan Hill. In good hands and open to improvement. ON BROADWAY (8) led but couldn't kick in heavy going and missed the placings at her latest appearance over 1950m at Yarra Valley. In the money at her only try over this distance. Should give backers a sight. STELLA CANTANTE (9) found the line well and was beaten under two lengths over 1400m here a fortnight ago. At her best over this trip - looks a fringe hope in the race. SPIETATA (4) on debut for Price/Kent is worth monitoring for market support. SUGGESTED PLAY: Confident Sumo Sandy can take this out.
