GOING: S

bet365 Hamilton Cup 2200m

Track: Soft 5   Rain (Max: 15)   Rail: True Entire Circuit. (Pent: 5.43)

Buzzaroon and Navy King possess good early speed and will set a genuine tempo. The big one of the day that brings together some varying formlines. The best looks to be the Benalla Cup, which augurs well for CHASING APHRODITE (3), who beat home all bar Plymouth, who's favourite for the G2 Herbert Power Stks at Caulfield. That was only Chasing Aphrodite's second run this time, so he should have had a little improvement up the sleeve. NAVY KING (8) beat home Vega Magnifico comfortably two back, which brings him right into it and he too likes to make his own luck, which gate four should assist. RAGING BULL (7) was only a length off Chasing Aphrodite in the Benalla Cup, so if you like that import you've got to concede him some chance. BUZZAROON (9) is going far too well to dismiss, despite being up in class. CAPTAIN ELECTRIC (10) ran an improved race down in grade last start and a repeat of that run would be good enough to feature here. SUGGESTED PLAY: Chasing Aphrodite to win.
