Moderate tempo expected with Mawjood likely to find the front over Lockdown Gamble and Justadeel. MAWJOOD (4) stalked the leader then sprinted away for an easy win over 1400m at Rosehill last start. Untried at the mile but the manner of the last win under 61kgs suggests he will run it out. INQUIRING MINDS (2) settled back in the field and made no impression when resuming over 1400m at Randwick last time out. The winner of two from three over this distance so watch for a far better run here. FORTUNE (1) dug deep to just prevail when fresh from a spell over the Randwick mile recently. Should hold that form second-up and has the class to shoulder the big weight. Victorian raider JUSTADEEL (3) is lightly raced and very reliable. All three runs this prep have been strong efforts and warrant the long trip north. LOCKDOWN GAMBLE (7) is going okay and gets a lot of weight off the top fancies so he could be a knockout runner.
