Solid tempo with Kaluakoi leading from Without Revenge and Valimi. Former Victorian KALUAKOI (9) got the job done when having his first run for the new stable before maybe suffering from the dreaded second-up syndrome last time out. Strips fitter now third-up from the spell and looks ready for the step-up to the 1800m trip. Should prove tough to hold out. VICTORY FLAME (13) has placed two from two over this distance range and is usually thereabouts. Needs some luck from the wide draw but can make his presence felt. VALIMI (3) has put back-to-back victories together and gets a stack of weight off with the 3kg claim. Hard to ignore winning form. CANBERRA LEGEND (4) settled back from wide out last time then got home nicely to finish second over 1625m at Toowoomba. Steps up in journey now and is in the mix.
