Genuine tempo with Bad Detective and I Need A Drink up front. FALANGHINA (8) was finding the line nicely at the end of 1250m first-up and looks suited here. She is a winner second-up and has also won over 1400m. She will need some luck from the inside barrier but if things go her way, she will be hard to beat and represents great each-way value at the price. VALLENCOURT (10) also comes through the Nicish race in which she settled midfield and held her ground. She is capable on her day and is another that can run in the money. COLLATED (6) is better over 1600m and beyond but he did enough first-up to suggest he's come back well. The setup from barrier five with Opperman on board is likable. THERMODYNAMIC (3) is capable of a top-three finish on his best form, while EXTRA HOT (7) has a big finish if things go her way in the run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Falanghina each-way.
