Darmanin staying aboard suggests he's pleasing. THE SPIRIT OF ZERO (4) went close from the back at Hobart first-up and five winners have come out of that. Followed with a near miss on the synthetic. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. VERBANO (9) is fitter for two runs back from a break. Turned in a better effort last time and gets in well this grade with the claim. Has ability and can run on into the finish. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Lovin' Bev.
