Genuine pace with Chad's Me Dad finding the front from her low draw. LA DETTE (2) has been running on fairly early this campaign in CL3 grade and she'll find this a little easier today. She's a third-up winner in the past and Fiore has also guided the mare to a victory. Out in trip now is a big tick and she can get back to her best. THE RUSH (3) bounced right back to form last start with an eye-catching run over 1200m here. Getting back up to 1400m is a big tick and she may be able to sit a little closer from a better barrier today. She's right in this race. GEORGE GENTLY (9) drops back in trip after probably not seeing mile out last start. Turned in a trial since then and he can improve getting back in distance. Expecting a sharp turnaround in his form. MOMBASA (1) can build on a sound first-up effort. MASTER ALEX (6) is better than he showed last start and can bounce back third-up into the campaign. SUGGESTED PLAY: La Dette goes on top in the last.
