Plenty of unraced runners engaged which muddies the map a little. It is fair to assume a keen tempo. The babies kick us off with a few of these facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade LA BELLA BOOM (6) was well in the betting here when at the races for the first time and wasn't disgraced with a handy third. Where there's smoke there's fire and can improve enough to take this out. DON'TDOUBTHELADY (5) got the maiden out of the way at Rockhampton first time at the races and will have taken confidence from that first-up victory. In the mix. MR DEMOCRAT (2) hails from a handy family (full to Listed winner Steady Ready) and is sure to be well-educated from the Bruce barn. Respect any market confidence. SUGGESTED PLAY: La Bella Boom to win.
