Abundant early pressure from the speedy pair Katsuno Ninth and Zendan Kizuna. ZENDAN KIZUNA (1) won last start over 1600m at this track, making it five victories from 10 appearances this preparation. Yet to miss the frame from nine starts at today's journey, including four wins and is expected to be in the finish. SHITAN (6) improved sharply on her 15th two starts back at Niigata Dirt with success over 1400m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 3 lengths. Goes up a rung or two but she is good enough to figure in the finish. DRUM LIME (9) did a great job to score by 2 lengths over today's course and distance last start in a far better run. Meeting a deeper field this time but he can win again. NIHONPIRO PERRY (5) brings the right form to the table after taking out a 1600m contest at this track last time out by 2.5 lengths. Has a solid record here over this trip, winning on three occasions from eight outings. Capable of playing a big role.
