Genuine tempo anticipated with a host of these to show good early dash. REYES (5) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 1200m at Funabashi, scoring by one length. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Shaping up nicely and he looks certain to measure up again. POPCORN (2) did a great job to score by 2 lengths over this course and distance last start in a far better run. Facing a tougher assignment but he is capable of another big run. JO SOLE (1) was in contention on the corner and finished second last start over 1400m at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths. Tackling a deeper field this time but she is up to the task. ICE NOTE (8) was beaten 4 lengths into sixth over 1200m at Funabashi last time out. Worth noting Tsubasa Sasagawa goes aboard. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
