Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Broadfield, Hand Of Doom and Shockstar to control the tempo. SHOCKSTAR (3) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 2010m at Kilmore. Maps well and is well-placed in this lineup. Top chance. MARLIN (1) missed a whisker this track/trip and then skipped across to Adelaide and didn't get warm in a 63 at big odds. This suits better, and on a 3-week return he can make the finish. HAND OF DOOM (2) comes back in trip off the Maiden win at Moe, where he led them up. Has a low gate and will give a sight at decent odds. SUNSET MISSILE (6) would be a chance at best but she has to find it as would SMOKIN' GIANT (8). SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Shockstar.
