Plenty of pace likely from Thailess, King West and A Good Yarn battling for the lead from Mere Morsel. Nice race with a couple of lightly-raced types who have trialled impressively taking on horses who have performed well in tougher grade than this. KING WEST (3) looks primed to run a big race fresh after a brilliant recent Cranbourne trial, when he strolled home by about six lengths despite not being pushed out. This is his first time in BM70 grade but he looks sure to measure up. THAILESS (5) took on G3 company two back, when never a factor, but ran an improved race back in grade last time out and can springboard off that. She's got the early speed to put the wide gate out of play. BIG SEXY (6) responded to aggressive placement at his only two starts and while he finished third in a recent trial, he could have won easily if asked and looks like he's come back nicely. GRASSMERE JEWEL (1) is yet to miss a place in 5 starts here (3 wins) and should be prominent from the inside alley. A GOOD YARN (7) will put himself on-speed and comes into it if leaders are advantaged. SUGGESTED PLAY: King West to win.
