Expecting Great Flame to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. BRANDYWINE (7) won a Queanbeyan maiden three back but has been just fair subsequently, the pick of those efforts coming two back when 2.5 lengths away over the mile at Narromine. Very little depth to this race so she gets her chance to score again. WAY TO DIVINE (2) filled minor placings in consecutive races over the mile at Wellington before a recent failure at Leeton. More effective on wet tracks so keep an eye on the conditions. SHYLOCK (3) led but weakened at the end of 2200m at Dubbo recently. Better placed back to this distance so expect him to offer a lot more resistance. The lightly raced HARONYA (9) is going well at the picnics and deserves her chance at this level. HASIME (11) was only two lengths away over this trip at Narromine last time. Big chance if she can recapture that form. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Brandywine.
