A solid tempo is on the cards with Rich Attitude and Sweet Envy pushing for the lead ahead of Im Bartholomew and Perfect Pete. DUBAI'S POTIKI (2) delivered as expected when sent out as an odds-on favourite over 1600m at this track last time out. He was good enough to be Group 3 placed last season, and he can now go right on with the job. IM BARTHOLOMEW (1) made it 2 wins on the bounce last time over 990m at New Plymouth. The step up to 1400m should not bother him, and he has to be respected again. LEGACY (9) only peaked on his run late when resuming from a spell over 1400m at Trentham. He stuck on gamely that day and will be a quick improver on his home track here. Each way value. PERFECT PETE (4) was fourth two starts back and followed up with a solid effort for third last time out over 1600m at this track, just a neck behind the winner. He can make the most of his handy gate early on, and is another with sound each-way claims in an even contest. PADDY THE FARMER (3) franked his recent trial win with a comfortable victory fresh up at Tauranga 10 days ago. He has the scope to go on with the job now. SUGGESTED PLAY: Legacy at some each-way value.
