Pace strong with Wald Star and Danon Alps leading with Brick Barn nearby. DANON ALPS (3) is yet to miss the placings in three starts, including two wins. Has not been produced since he was successful over 1600m at this track on January 13. Has a high cruising speed and will play a major role. BRICK BARN (2) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.75 lengths from the winner in third over 1600m here after being in the firing line on the bend. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. GREATER HOPE (1) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at this course over 1600m. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. MODULATION (4) is a handy type who resumes after a break of six months. At her last appearance she finished sixth over 1600m at this venue, beaten 8 lengths. Has won when fresh from a spell in the past and best figures stack up nicely.
