Plenty of speed runners engaged, with Jo Roligt, Pair Pollux and Ridill prominent. OMEGA WINK (4) ran fifth at her latest appearance over 1400m at Hanshin, clocking in 4 lengths from the winner. Is rarely far away and has amassed two wins from her appearances. Hard to go past. COURTEOUS MANNER (2) made it back-to-back wins when successful last start over 1400m at Hanshin, getting home by 0.8 lengths. Taking on a better field but she is good enough to score again. AWESOME STROKE (10) tackled the New Zealand Trophy (NHK Mile Cup Trial) over 1600m at Nakayama last time out when fresh from a spell and was beaten 3.5 lengths into eighth by Ecoro Bloom. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. One of the main contenders. PAIR POLLUX (6) has not been sighted since he scored over 1200m at Kokura on February 3. Is rarely far away and has amassed two wins from his appearances. Winning claims on best figures.
