Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Key Legend, Invincible Red and Silver Halo to control the tempo. RETRIEVAL (3) impressively won a Class 2 over 1200m at Tamworth two back then couldn't get warm over 1400m at the same track last time. Not the most reliable conveyance but back a little in trip from a better gate he gets his chance at redemption. SILVER HALO (4) kicked this prep off with three strong efforts then found open company too tough last time out at Muswellbrook. At her best over this trip so back in a BM66 she makes plenty of appeal. KEY LEGEND (7) made it three wins from his last five runs when he powered home from a mile back to score over 1420m at Grafton seven weeks ago. Will be better for this hit-out but while fresh over a shorter trip he is in contention. BORROWED LUCK (8) failed in open company last start. Big chance if she finds the form that saw her collect a BM66 over 1200m at Tamworth two back. INVINCIBLE RED (6) resumes. Usually comes to hand quickly and his best form from last prep is certainly good enough. SUGGESTED PLAY: Retrieval each-way.
