Anticipate a moderate tempo is a race devoid of recognised speedsters. The lightly raced ROSE WATER (5) returns from a 29-week spell. Raced three times last prep but failed to make an impact, a disappointment after a promising maiden campaign. Finds a weak BM58 to launch this prep - worth another chance. WANJINA ROSE (8) won here three back at this distance then caught the eye late in the piece at Grafton two runs back, again at 1200m. Failed last time over seven furlongs. Can bounce back in this more suitable assignment. RAINBOW LASS (1) returns from a brief spell. Best effort last prep was a win at Casino in a comparable race to this. Trialed well at Grafton recently - should run well with a bit of residual fitness to call upon. TA SET NEFERU (4) is back from a seven-month absence. Opened the last campaign with a win at Taree. Two trials in September should have her up to the mark. TYPHOON NETA (7) has raced well without winning this prep. Likes Port Macquarie and gets the run of the race from the inside stall. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rose Water each-way.
