Moderate pace with Contingency taking up the running ahead of Cheers and Casterly Rock. CASTERLY ROCK (2) goes well for hoop Thornton who has a win and four placings from just seven steers and the form he showed when last in work was good enough for a race of this nature. Has placed three from four around this circuit and should be right there when the whips are cracking. CONTINGENCY (9) got the maiden out of the way over this track and trip on debut and will have taken a stack of confidence from that first-up victory. Can make it back-to-back victories to start the career. COOL RUNNING (4) is a winner around this circuit, draws low and gets some weight off with the claim. Ticks a few boxes. BUSKER (1) disappointed at the latest effort but go on the solid win two back. Worth another chance. MAD ANA (6) next in line while fresh. SUGGESTED PLAY: Casterly Rock to return a winner.
