Genuine tempo anticipated with good speed engaged. Competitive race with not a lot of proven form at the journey. TOMYRIS (8) is an honest mare fitter for two runs in, winning fresh before finishing runner-up last time. Looks suited by the extra ground now and has a solid record here. Hard to beat. ICE RAIN (5) hasn't raced since she was well held in the Grade 2 Gold Bracelet. Resumes in far easier company and has won fresh. Strong record with Moodley aboard and likely to play a major role. ALANNAH (1) is a lightly raced filly who wasn't disgraced over a mile in the top level fresh then was a close-up fourth here over 1400m. First try at the trip but fitter again and drawn to feature. SIGN OF FATE (4) is racing well without winning, the latest a close-up fourth over a mile. Peak fitness and right in this.
