First Eminent and Ocean Boulevard should set a strong clip. PRETTY FLY (5) resumes after a six-month spell, which would have done her the world of good. She has been placed twice as a 3-year-old and has the pace to find a handy spot early on here. She meets a modest field, and will be among the hardest to beat. KYBOSHE (4) stuck to her task gamely as favourite when finishing third over 1335m at Gore 12 days ago after being in contention on the turn. She is rock-hard fit and should go close to taking this out. OCEAN BOULEVARD (11) was put aside to mature after her third-place finish over 1200m at Oamaru in her sole start as a juvenile in late July. She will continue to improve with racing and would not be a shock winner here. PERFECT TYCOON (1) made a solid debut, finishing third and not far behind the winner over 1200m at Wingatui 4 weeks ago. He will naturally improve second up and should be included in all multiples. FORSETI (6) has gone close to breaking through in the past, and is not the worst in this field. SUGGESTED PLAY: Pretty Fly can win this.
