The speedy trio Woodland Glade, Fish Eagle and Khanyisa Indlela can set the pace from the outset. KING'S ISLAND (8) won a good race in his last start over this course and distance. He showed a good turn of foot and won with plenty in hand. He does take a slight rise in class but is in a good space and can follow up. IMAGINABLE (6) has good recent form lines to his credit. He was running on when finishing second of 10 over 1400m last time. Both his career victories have come over this distance and he merits healthy respect. CUPID'S SONG (10) took the lead at the 1300m mark last time out before getting outrun late. He gets the services of the 4kg claiming apprentice Brevan Plaatjies which will assist his cause. With luck in the running he should be figuring in the finish. FISH EAGLE (2) resumes from a spell after having scored at his only run last prep at this track over 1400m. Has the pace to settle in the leading division and rates well as an each-way chance.
