Not much early speed of note and Perugia and Tears Of Victory may find themselves setting a steady tempo. PERUGIA (2) has found it hard to win another race, and she ran on strongly from well back when finishing runner-up at Te Aroha 12 days ago. She looks to be extremely well-placed in this field, and she is the one to beat. JAEGER (1) needed the run badly at New Plymouth 11 days ago, and he has much less time between runs this time. He slides down in class and can make amends. Hard to beat. TEARS OF VICTORY (3) dropped into this class at Hawera last time out and ran a vastly improved race for fifth. She has the pole position this time, and Bruno Queiroz sticks with her. Each way value. PADDY GIFT (5) has been well below what he is capable of for some time. This company will hold no fears for him, and he would not be a total shock winner of this. One more chance. FOOL ME ONCE (8) is a staying type of mare resuming from a spell. A recent third at the trials, will ensure that she is ready to rumble fresh. Check the market moves. SUGGESTED PLAY: Perugia should win, and Paddy Gift for the blow-out.
