Anticipating a strong tempo with plenty of speed engaged. APPARATE (8) raced wide without cover so her failure last start over 1400m at Canberra is worth overlooking. Nicely in today after Martin's claim. Can win based on a good third in a 1300m Goulburn Class 1 the run prior. BEAUTY EDGE (1) ran an eye-catcher first-up over this distance at Bathurst before a less impressive performance when stretched to 1300m last time. Nicely drawn and back to 1100m can return to form. GLOWING RAPIDS (2) opened this prep with three minor placings before failing on a heavy track at Narromine recently. Certainly worth another chance back on firmer footing. MISS KARIS (3) continues to race well since her maiden win 12 weeks ago. Draws a nice gate and on an eight-day back-up makes plenty of appeal. SPIRIT LAKE (4) needed the run at Dubbo last start and can improve in today's much easier assignment. SUGGESTED PLAY: Apparate to win.
