A solid tempo on the cards with Frappuccino taking charge. LINCHPIN (11) rounded his rivals up with ease on debut over 1400m and doesn't look out of place here against the older horses on the back of that effort. He turned in some strong figures in the process and the form has been franked. Can sit closer today up to the mile and bring up back-to-back wins. EXQUISITE TASTE (9) made every post a winner at Bunbury last time out when scoring by 0.6L over the 1685m journey. Obviously tougher here, but he is a progressive type, which we can't say for much of this field. Should take up the running again and give them something to catch. WEMBANYAMA (6) is knocking on the door of a drought breaking win, finishing 0.6L off the winner last time out. Two runners out of that race have both won since and now Pike takes the ride. Can land the knockout blow up to the mile now. CAVALLO RED (2) was too good last time out and can feature stretching to the mile. GRANDAD'S ADICTION (8) has claims on what he's shown us recently. SUGGESTED PLAY: Linchpin can win again.
