Sekitoba East should lead but there are a few other speedy types who can keep her honest. BOND GIRL (8) is Grade 1 placed and returns from a short break. Raced once last campaign which was a narrow defeat over 1600m in the G3 Sekiya Kinen at Niigata. Has a win and five minors from six tries fresh. Should be in the finish. SEKITOBA EAST (11) was in great form before a break, winning two on end including a win over 1800m here. Finds the right race to launch another bright campaign. ADMIRE MATSURI (1) was racing well last preparation with two wins on end before her seventh in the G1 Victoria Mile at this track at the latest appearance on May 18. Does boast a strong first-up record. Placed over 1800m at this track when last resuming. Bold showing expected. SAFIRA (13) also resumes in easier grade. Started the last campaign impressively when in the placings over 1800m at Kyoto. Hasn't scored when fresh from a break but generally races well with two minor placings. Definite top-three chance.
