UNUSUAL CHOICE (1) was a warm favourite when resuming from a spell over 2100m at Waipukurau, finishing a sound fourth. He strips fitter and is good enough to take this out. Follow your money. BILLY (2) made up some late ground when finishing third at Tauherenikau a month ago over 2200m. He has been placed in his only start here, and if he can settle close to the pace early on, then he will be hard to hold out. SPEEDIE O'REILLY (3) is a stablemate of the top pick who made up a lot of late ground when finishing fourth fresh up over a mile at Waipukurau just over 3 weeks ago. The extra 500m is ideal, and he will be right in the finish this time. Each way. ANNABELLE (10) was sixth fresh up for a new trainer at Whanganui 11 days ago. She is bred to relish the step up to 2200m, and from a good draw, she can figure in the top 4. ZEDDIANI (8) ran her best race yet when finishing runner-up last start in her first run over ground.
