Little early speed on offer so Bella Angelica should be prominent. WYANDRA (1) had trialled well before the debut, when she was heavily-backed ($2.90 to $2.15 fav), but was held up at a crucial time rounding the home turn. Got going late to only be beaten a length and with a clearer run here he deserves to be considered the horse to beat. BELLA ANGELICA (2) had her own traffic issues on debut, though, when she was beaten about the same margin. She'd also impressed at the trials and the thing in her favour is stepping up an extra 200m in trip. They look the clear top two chances. KALIZMA (3) looks the standout to fill the trifecta given she was adequate on debut over 1000m and, being by So You Think, will relish the step up to 1200m here. Hard to see either LADY BIV (4) or STAR OF OMAHA (5) fighting out the finish but the former might have the edge in the battle for the final spot in the first 4. SUGGESTED PLAY: Wyandra to win.
