Genuine pace with Fan Harder finding the front but it won't be a picnic with a few other speedy types engaged.
Typically difficult Highway. The lightly raced mare BUENOS (4) gets the nod after a couple of strong wins in Canberra over shorter trips. Gives every indication she can stretch her talents to 1500m. Drawn to enjoy a lovely run so there is plenty to like about the four-year-old's prospects. ADOLPHUS (3) settled in a good spot but was pretty feeble through the closing stages of a 1400m Highway here last time out. Capable of a lot more than that and the application of blinkers for the first time might bring the best out of him. FAN HARDER (13) worked across from a wide gate and was handy in the run until tiring late to finish fourth in a Class 2 Highway here recently. Gets a softer run today from the close draw. Up in grade but drops 2kgs so he is a live chance. Last start track and distance winner POISEN POINT (5) can keep up the momentum at only the third run of the prep. UPWARDLY MOBILE (11) will get back from a wide alley but is capable of some big final splits. SUGGESTED PLAY: Buenos each-way.
