NUM TIME COMMENT
1 10:40 Race 1 1400m
ANNABELLE DIAMANTE (6) sets the standard after missing by only a neck when resuming at Sonoda in 3yo+ C3 grade, and that first-up improvement reads clearly stronger than most of these recent profiles. KURINO BIKKURIBAGO (2) is the most reliable danger, having placed at his past two starts and bringing a far deeper track-and-distance record, though his latest third was still beaten four and a half lengths. WONDER FLEX (3) has not won in 21 starts, but her last-start fifth was close enough to keep her in the minor-money mix if she improves again. LIGHT BRAVE (5) has the best historical Sonoda 1400m credentials of the chasing group, but his last two runs have been plain.
2 11:10 Race 2 1400m
KURINO ACHIEVER (2) sets the standard on current form after putting away a Sonoda 3yo+ C3 field by two and a half lengths, and his record at this track and distance gives that win substance. A SHIN VIENTO (5) is the main threat if he rebounds from a poor sixth, as his previous Sonoda win over Yubae and his track-distance record read well for this. BABY VAGY (4) brings the right third-up profile after a narrow win from Meisho Setsugetsu, although the sharp turnaround from a distant last start prior makes her more a solid place chance than a clear top pick. RE GO TO (7) is honest and comes off a Sonoda win of his own, with the Wataru Hirose partnership a genuine asset.
3 11:40 Race 3 1400m
COPANO JAMAICA (1) sets the standard after winning on debut at Sonoda over 820m, scoring by two and a half lengths as favourite from Ninen Tsuki Gumi. The move to 1400m is the key unknown, but he has already shown professionalism under race pressure and retains the services of Tomohiro Yoshimura. XIAOWUYING (5) has the clearest counterpunch on debut evidence, having been beaten a head by Brave Ten, though her last-start fifth behind Le Jouet was a backward step after being near the top of betting. ITOSHINO FURSA (2) gets in with 51kg and has a distance placing in the record, but her latest eighth behind Rock On D'Oro was plain. CRYING AVENUE (4) has race experience and a Sonoda placing, yet must find sharper acceleration.
4 12:10 Race 4 1400m
DO ANYTHING (5) looks the right starting point after resuming with a solid second at Sonoda, beaten a length by Offshore Girl, and his broader record at this track and distance is clearly the strongest in the field. MEISHO SETSUGETSU (4) is the most immediate threat, having gone under by only a head to Baby Vagy before a prior third beaten two lengths, though the 23-start maiden record keeps the assessment measured. SAKURA VIGUEUR (2) was beaten as a well-supported favourite last time, but his 1400m Sonoda record and repeated placings give him another genuine winning path. CHO KANSEI (9) has been honest enough at his past two and profiles as the value place chance rather than the one to beat.
5 12:45 Race 5 1230m
SIENA KING (8) sets the standard in a modest 3yo C3. He was fifth here last start, beaten just over four lengths by Jericoacoara, and his straight work was sound enough to suggest he is holding his form. He also has the recent edge. OVER CATCH MY EYE (7), who was beaten by him at Sonoda a couple of weeks ago but remains a genuine threat on her consistent enough C3 efforts. CATHPA IMPACT (4) has plain 820m form on paper, yet the return to 1230m and the class profile give him a stronger winning case than those margins alone imply. LINLITHGOW (2) resumes from a three-month break after two poor 3yo C1 runs, so the drop into this grade is the key positive, though he must show more.
6 01:20 Race 6 1400m
MARBLE TISWA (7) is the one to beat despite coming off a beaten-favourite fourth here, as her overall 1400m Sonoda record remains the strongest profile in the race and her prior second to Infini Wraith was only by a neck. ARATAMA OSO (2) is the obvious danger after improving sharply to run second to Mysterious Lady, beaten a length and a half at big odds, and a repeat of that effort puts him right in the contest. PELLESTRINA (9) has the class-drop and track-and-trip credentials to rebound, though she must put two heavy defeats behind her. SUPERBE LIEN (8) lacks a win from nine starts but has been closer than many of these of late and profiles as a genuine place threat.
7 01:55 Race 7 1700m
WATER LE SEUL (7) goes on top in a race where the market may need to look past plain finishing positions. His two Chukyo runs this campaign were over 3yo Maiden grade and he was beaten only three and a half lengths two back before an eighth over 2000m, beaten four and a half lengths. The back in trip is the query, but third-up and placed into this field he has the right profile. YAMAKAN DREAMIN' (2) also brings a class-change angle after big-odds Niigata runs, though he must improve sharply on being beaten just under nine lengths last time. JUN ODR (4) has the clearest last-start form, having won by ten lengths at Sonoda, and his track-and-distance record keeps him right in the argument. THE TIMES (3) is the dependable one, with recent placings here and a strong seasonal record, but being beaten as favourite last start tempers the win case.
8 02:30 Race 8 1400m
NAMURA TEDDIE (1) gets top billing after producing a big-odds Sonoda win in 3yo+ B1 company, beating Bellagio Gulf by a nose and giving Meisho Kaikon a recent target to overturn. The narrow margin keeps the race open, but the form is current and the 1400m record is sound. MEISHO KAIKON (5) is the clear danger: he has been third at his past two in similar grade, was respected in betting both times, and his Sonoda 1400m record with this jockey reads very well. BUCHI A (3) brings winning B2 form after beating Tagano Tetsu here and had also run second at big odds the start before, though this is a stronger test. VOLA VIA (6) is included on the shortlist but must improve sharply off two heavy defeats.
9 03:05 Race 9 1230m
T O TEBALDI (5) gets the nod in a competitive Sonoda 1230m contest. Her latest fifth behind Summer Park reads better than the margin suggests, as she made good ground late and was again respected near the top of an open market. MONONOFUNO MICHI (3) is the immediate danger after finishing third in the same race as favourite, and his four wins from twelve starts at this track and distance give him a very solid platform, although he does need to convert that consistency. SHANA O (9) brings the cleanest recent finishing profile, with consecutive seconds including a half-length defeat two back behind Victory Bridge, and he has placed in both attempts at the distance. BLANC BELLE (4) has the class-drop angle and a prior track-and-distance win, but her last-start seventh beaten over 13 lengths leaves her with more to prove.
10 03:40 Race 10 1400m
MEISHO HACHIMAKI (5) is the horse to beat despite proving costly as a short odds-on favourite when fourth at Sonoda last start, beaten just over two lengths. His prior 3yo AB run over 1870m was plain on the margin, but he is proven at both this track and the distance and brings the best overall profile among the main hopes. YAMANIN COLZA (8) is the danger: her latest seventh at Chukyo Dirt was only fair, yet her previous fourth there, beaten just under two lengths, reads well enough for this class drop. REGALINO (1) has been safely held at Niigata and Hakodate, but the easier setup gives her a place pathway. MACHO SASUPO (3) arrives off a decisive Sonoda win and must be respected, though the ten-year-old mare is more a solid danger than the top pick.
11 04:15 Race 11 1400m
DONDENGAESHI (1) earns top billing after two sound Sonoda runs in 3yo+ B2 company, most recently third to Buchi A when beaten just over a length after looming and fighting on. He was near the top of betting there, is third-up, and his narrow defeat behind Sunrise Skaal last month is the main reminder that this is not a one-horse race. SUNRISE SKAAL (11) has the strongest recent consistency, beaten just over half a length by Valar last start after a close third to Kawakita Hoku Lea, and he has already had Dondengaeshi's measure. TAMBA BUSHO (6) improved into third behind Smile Clark, beaten two lengths, and his Sonoda 1400m record keeps him right in the argument. GLORIOUS APOI (12) has been plain in two runs back but owns a strong track-and-distance record and can improve third-up.
12 04:50 Race 12 1230m
WISPY SNOW (10) holds the most appealing profile despite being beaten just over three lengths into fifth in a 3yo+ C2 at Sonoda last start. That was a clear enough lift on the previous eighth, and her broader Sonoda record, plus two wins in the past 12 months, gives her the most reliable base among the main chances. WAROTERU (9) has not been finishing his races off at 1400m, but the return to 1230m and his one win and one place from four starts at the track and distance make him a genuine threat if he sharpens up. SHIGERU NOVA (4) improved to be beaten five lengths last start after a poor run prior, so she has claims in this grade without being bombproof. TRYFAN (3) has been around the same margin in recent C2 runs and looks more a place chance than a dominant winning hope.
