BECOME A BRC MEMBER Fillies and Mares Maiden Plate 1350m
Zephyr Song to take charge ahead of Kobability at a solid tempo. OREGON COAST (7) failed to live up to savage market support fresh when racing greenly in the lane. Thompson sticks and she’s sure to have come on from the run. Can get the job done this time. ZEPHYR SONG (5) has good tactical speed and looks certain to spear across and be handy again. Should be near his peak now and will prove tough to reel in if left alone through the middle stages. KOBABILITY (4) turned in a better performance second up when taken to the front, only to be reeled in late, but did beat home Oregon Coast. Have to consider. BACETTI (1) also comes through the same race and was only warming late in her first run back. Fitter and will appreciate the added trip. Not dismissing. SUGGESTED PLAY: Oregon Coast to win. |

SPRING CARNIVAL ON SALE NOW Colts, Geldings and Entires Maiden Plate 1350m
No recognised leader so Hellabeel could find himself in front. FIDARDO (3) has done it both ways in his two runs back and should be hitting his straps now. Added trip won’t bother him. Big chance. SPEEDY CROWN (8) made a strong return at Ipswich when closing off nicely into fourth. He’s sure to have come on with that run under his belt and will appreciate the added trip. INDIGO STAR (5) finds the maiden win elusive but it certainly hasn’t been without trying. Has become costly for supporters but there’s ability there. Thompson takes over and he has to be taken seriously. PROPHET OF DESTINY (7) is knocking on the door and doesn’t need to improve much to finally get the verdict. Drawn to be blending in at the right time and is right in the mix. SUGGESTED PLAY: Speedy Crown to win. |

XXXX GOLD QTIS Three-Years-Old Maiden Plate 1110m
The presence of a few newcomers will keep Flaressence busy. FLARESSENCE (9) looks the best of the raced brigade after missing by a lip at Eagle Farm last month. Kept fresh with five weeks between runs and with any natural improvement she should be right there again. MALAMAGIC (2) is a Spirit Of Boom colt on debut for the Gollan camp. Full brother to LR winner Malaboom, has impressed in both trials, and keeps Thompson. Can make a bright start. His stablemate WILCO (5) is another Spirit Of Boom colt on debut and has also trialled well. Low draw gives him a good sight. BODMIN MOOR (1) returns after a promising debut prep. Two trials have him ready to make his presence felt. SUGGESTED PLAY: Flaressence to win. |

DRINKWISE BM68 Handicap 2040m
Rosso Levanto has the pace to lead in what is likely to be a moderate tempo. CANTARITO (7) just missed first up at the Sunny Coast before getting the job done in style at Ipswich last time. Has further improvement to come and the rise in trip suits. Can make it two on the bounce. ROSSO LEVANTO (6) has returned in good order this prep, notching two wins from three starts. Gets in light with the 3kg claimer engaged and only needs to hold her form to be right there again. WOUNDER (13) is rock-hard fit and carries strong peaks. Gets a key switch to Thompson and is drawn favourably. Can give this a big shake. MARENARO (1) drops back in trip off a 32-day freshen and gets an important 2kg claim from hot-hand apprentice Williams. Don’t underestimate. SUGGESTED PLAY: Cantarito to win. |

SKY RACING Class 2 Handicap 1640m
Expecting Captain Eagle to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. GLOBAL ECLIPSE (1) couldn’t meet expectations fresh but stuck on okay into second behind a dominant winner. Better with that run under his belt but is drawn sticky so will need a clever ride. TORO STRIKE (5) was better second up when warming nicely late over 1200m at Eagle Farm. Has been freshened 35 days and steps out to a more suitable trip. Has a chance to break a long drought. CAPTAIN EAGLE (3) carries a fitness edge and shoulders peaks that can give this a big shake. Not dismissing. TULONG (7) strips rock-hard fit and is going better than his form reads. Was a winner of this track and trip to close last campaign when getting off the mark. With Youngberry's 3kg claim he gets in at a featherweight and can play a major role. SUGGESTED PLAY: Global Eclipse to win. |

CBT Class 3 Plate 1350m
Expecting Earthing to take up the lead at a genuine tempo. LOCKYER (4) strips rock-hard fit and is in career-best touch, getting in well with the 3kg claimer engaged. He’s 3/4 over this track and trip and draws beautifully. Only has to hold his form to prove very hard to beat. TWISTED QUEEN (8) is an interesting runner making his debut for the in-form Bruce stable. Showed promising signs in NSW but just struggled to put it all together more often. Big watch off 42 days. CELESTIAL BLAZE (1) returns and is a noted fresh performer. Boasts strong peaks and has been fitted with two solid trials. Sure to be very competitive, even with the big weight. ENFORCEABLE (2) is as true as the day is long. Will race handy under Jones and be poised to pounce when they quicken. Certainly up to it. LAND BANK (3) was too bad to be true last start when finishing last after jumping favourite here. Better than that and Thompson takes back over. Not dismissing. SUGGESTED PLAY: Lockyer to win. |

LADBROKES MATES MODE Class 2 Handicap 1110m
Tasman Bay and Shredded can be prominent. DON'TCHA LUV'ER (6) just missed the bob first-up at the Sunny Coast before taking another strong account of herself last time at Eagle Farm. Peaking now and keeps Thompson from the gun draw. Ready. NO FOOLING (2) also resumes and makes his stable debut for the Gollan camp. Showed plenty of promise in Victoria and is a noted fresh performer. Two lead-up trials have him ready to fire. Can make a bright start in the new colours. SHREDDED (3) returns and has run well fresh without winning. Has been fitted with two trial wins and gets in light with the 3kg claimer reuniting. Bold showing anticipated. His stablemate ANOTHER CASHIE (4) is also first up. Tackled much stronger races last campaign, so will appreciate the easier assignment here. Two trials have him ready to run well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Don'Tcha Luv'Er gets the nod. |
