HYLAND RACE COLOURS PLATE 1100m
Czech Me and Better By Far should set a strong clip. Connections had such a high opinion of VATICAN (7) that they debuted him in a Listed race where he certainly wasn't disgraced, finishing fifth only two lengths away. Has since been tipped out for further time to furnish and has tuned up for this with two recent trials. Gets the reliable Waller/JMac combination and can return a winner. BETTER BY FAR (8) is unlucky to still be a maiden finishing runner-up in both starts to date and strikes a very winnable contest here. Looms as the main danger. CZECH ME (2) was well in the betting on debut but just ran into one better on that occasion. Where there's smoke there's fire and should be kept very safe. SNITZEL'S GIRL (13) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and looks a must for the multiples. KEEN TO EXCEED (4) next in line. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Trifecta 7,8,2,13. |

SCHWEPPES HANDICAP 1250m
Expecting a genuine tempo. Tricky race to assess with a few of these facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade DR KNOW (4) was well in the market at Kembla on debut and hit the frame after sitting up on the speed. Gets Lloyd on top from the inside marble and should play a role in the outcome. The well-related SAFFRON VEIL (6) (half to G1 winner Communist) has finished runner-up in both outings to date and looks to be on the doorstep of a maiden victory. Top-three candidate. AFFARI (9) has placed three from three around this circuit and will be ready to peak now third run back from a spell. In the mix. CALOOCAN BEAUTY (12) returns from a spell after racing just once to date when fourth at Randwick over 1000m. Recent trial form is very strong including a win at the latest appearance at Warwick Farm. Watch for any market confidence. SUGGESTED PLAY: Siding with Dr Know. |

CATANACH'S JEWELLERS HANDICAP 1900m
Doradus should find the front with County Kilkenny and Dolce Dior on his heels. STANDARD DEVIATION (3) finished runner-up over this course and distance last time out and will be ready to peak now third-up from the break. Hoop McDonald sticks in the irons following that last-start placing and should be right there when the whips are cracking. THINK I DO (9) has placed over this track and trip and gets in well at the weights with the claim. Maps nicely for this from gate five and is good enough to feature in the finish. The well-related DORADUS (1) (half to G1 winner Youngstar) has hit a purple patch this time in work with a win and two seconds from three outings. Can continue the rich vein of form. SUPREME SOVEREIGN (7) gets Berry on board from the low draw and may make his presence felt. FIOPROSPERO (2) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Standard Deviation. |

EXCEEDANCE @ VINERY STUD HANDICAP 1250m
Genuine tempo with the speedy Mosgold leading the way. HARRY'S EVIDENCE (9) may have suffered from the dreaded second-up syndrome last time out but go on the solid victory here when resuming. Only needs some luck navigating from the wide draw to be playing a major role in the outcome. WEST OF DALBY (14) hit the line strongly in Saturday metro grade at the latest outing and will appreciate the extra journey here. Should find this a touch easier. UNSTOPABULL (3) has won over this track and trip, gets gun hoop Rawiller on board and is drawn to get a cosy run in transit from the inside alley. Ticks a few boxes. MAGICAL MOMENTS (5) worth including in all multiples. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Harry's Evidence. |

RANVET HANDICAP 1100m
Strong tempo assured with Tremonti, Zale and Whatalegacy rolling to the front. The well-related FIERCE (2) (half to G2 winner Airman) returned in fine fashion with a dominant Warwick Farm victory and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Winning rider Schiller sticks in the saddle and handles all going. Looks the one they all have to run down. WHATALEGACY (8) also hails from a handy family (half to G1 winner Benedetta) and showed enough in his first campaign to suggest he'd be competitive in a race of this nature. Respect any market confidence. INOUE (3) is a two-time winner over this distance range and strips fitter third-up from the break. In the mix. ZALE (5) next best in a race with only a handful of chances. SUGGESTED PLAY: Fierce to win again. |

TAB HANDICAP 1100m
A strong gallop is likely with Hellabella and Flightcrew taking up the running, closely attended by Moscow Maid and Blitzgal. TAXATION (5) returned in good order with a close-up second over this track and trip and will have derived a stack of benefit from that hit-out. Gets McDonald back in the stirrups from the favourable draw and can go one better against this line-up. BLITZGAL (9) returns from a lay-off. Finished fourth in most recent trial at Rosehill. Opened last campaign with a win at Rosehill over 1400m. Key runner fresh. FOUND THE GOLD (11) returns from a break. Placed in a recent trial. Opened last campaign with a win at Newcastle over 900m. In the mix. MOSCOW MAID (14) was too good for maiden class at Hawkesbury last start when resuming. Tougher here but could go on with it for the Hawkes barn. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning towards Taxation. |

ASAHI SUPER DRY HANDICAP 1550m
Strong early tempo with Cobra Club and King Of Dragons leading the way. Open race to close out the card. FIERCENESS (7) is a consistent commodity who has hit the top-four in eight of nine races this campaign and doesn't know how to run a bad race. Gets a jockey upgrade in the form of Lloyd in the irons and should be right there at the business end. GOOD PRIZE (4) has gotten better with each run this time in work and looks to be working up to another victory. Has the talent to test this line-up. COBRA CLUB (5) hasn't been too far away of late and should be able to sit up on speed from the low draw. Will give backers a sight. PAPPA BLUE (8) strips fitter second-up from the break and may earn some minor money. RILEYCAT (9) best of the rest with the 2kg claim. SUGGESTED PLAY: Boxed Quinella 7,4,5. |
