NUM TIME COMMENT
1 02:15 Race 1 1400m
TALITHA (6) brings the cleanest profile after a debut second at Ohi over 1200m, beaten a length by Daiwa Curren City after holding a slender lead and conceding late. She has a five-week gap to overcome and now goes to 1400m, but the debut effort gives her the strongest starting point. ROVANIEMI (2) is the clear danger after producing a sharp last-start win here over 1200m, scoring by three lengths from Akano Heya despite starting at long odds. The concern is whether that improvement holds at 1400m after a poor run two back. REVE DAHLIA (7) already has 1400m form, finishing second to La Vague on debut, and her light weight keeps her in the mix. YAMANO SHINGEKI (3) has placed twice from four starts and was third here last time, though he must improve again over the extra ground.
2 02:50 Race 2 1200m
DAIWA CURREN CITY (1) gets the nod in a race built around lightly raced last-start winners. Her debut win at Ohi had substance, as she sat just off the leader and quickened to beat Talitha by a length, and she again carries 51kg from the inside barrier. O SHIN SORA (7) was more dominant on raw margin, winning by six lengths as odds-on favourite and beating Chord Eleven with plenty in hand, so he is the obvious danger if he repeats that debut level. LUCKY COLOR (8) comes through an eight-length Ohi win as favourite and has improved sharply from his debut fourth, though he profiles more as a strong place threat than a clear top pick. RIKEA CHA CHA CHA (9) was solid when second to Friend Tonnerre but has a distance query and still seeks a first win.
3 03:29 Race 3 1600m
BEE TRINITY (7) is the top pick on the strength of her win here two runs ago, when she beat M T King by a neck as favourite and confirmed her liking for the Ohi mile. Last start was below that level, finishing eighth and beaten seven lengths, but her track-and-distance record and solid partnership with Sho Yoshii give her the right profile to rebound. CALTHA PALUSTRIS (2) is the obvious danger after successive seconds, most recently beaten a nose by Rapide over 1800m, and the return to a winning distance is a genuine plus. PEISHA KISEKI (10) has been knocking on the door, beaten a neck as favourite last time after also placing behind Bee Trinity. The wide draw and maiden record are the reservations. FAIR CLOUD (3) has the strongest place profile, with three wins and six places from 15 starts at this course and distance.
4 04:02 Race 4 1400m
TIGER SHARK (6) sets the standard after winning both runs this campaign at Ohi, first scoring over 1200m in 3yo+ C3 grade and then justifying odds-on favouritism when beating Silfra by a head. The margin was narrow, but the winning habit and track record give him the strongest profile. LAST EIGHT CLUB (13) is the immediate threat, having resumed with a half-length second to Maple Peer and bringing a sharp overall record at Ohi. VIP CLARA (2) was big odds when fourth in 3yo+ C1C2 company here and has a proven track-and-trip record, so she looks a genuine danger with that run under her belt. DREADNOUGHT (3) improved sharply to be beaten just under two lengths last start and has won twice at this track and distance, though the winless recent-season profile keeps him just behind the main trio.
5 04:35 Race 5 1200m
GOLD TALISMAN (8) brings the clearest winning form to this C2 over 1200m at Ohi, having scored here by two and a half lengths as favourite after a six-length 3yo+ C3 win at the same venue. That recent authority gives her the edge, though she still has to reproduce it against a deeper set of winning chances. SILVER MAC (4) is the main danger on profile: last start was plain over 1000m when beaten just over six lengths, but her prior win from Koigoromo and strong track-and-distance record keep her right in the race. BELLAGIO LE KUN (6) must rebound from an 11th over 1600m, yet the class drop and solid Ohi record make him a genuine threat. BRAVO KINGDOM (10) has been costly as favourite at his past two, but his closing work suggests he remains a knockout hope.
6 05:10 Race 6 1600m
WEST LEADER (5) sets the standard in this C1 over 1600m at Ohi. He has won both runs this campaign in 3yo+ C2 company over 1400m, the latest by just over a length as favourite, and his five wins from nine attempts at this track and distance give the profile real substance. ENRICH THE HEART (12) is the main threat after consecutive seconds in 3yo COND grade, beaten a neck then half a length, though he has placed rather than won in three starts at this track and trip. HARU ICHIBAN (7) has strong local form, including a two-and-a-half-length win two back, but he was beaten by Enrich The Heart a couple of weeks ago. KNIGHT WARRIOR (8) is honest enough off two close finishes, yet last start as favourite left a query.
7 05:45 Race 7 1400m
SAIKAN SANYU (1) sets the standard after returning with a dominant six-length 3yo COND win at Ohi, where he was well backed and had Little Devil well covered. His two-from-two record at 1400m is the key strength, and the inside barrier gives him every chance to repeat the dose. RIKO BLUE EYE (2) is the main danger on current form after charging home to win over 1200m here, although the move to 1400m is the obvious test given his track-and-trip record is only one placing from three attempts. BELIEVE AND RUN (10) was beaten a head by Vulture Star last start and brings the most reliable all-round profile, with six wins from 23 starts and a perfect place record at this course and distance. WING WIND (9) arrives off a 3yo+ C2 win and is honest enough to keep the better chances working.
8 06:20 Race 8 1200m
REVUELTO DIO (11) brings the cleanest winning profile after scoring at Ohi in 3yo COND company, beating Orange Man by half a length as a dominant odds-on favourite. He had also run second to Magic Elegance at the same venue, so his current preparation has real substance, although the move into this C1 asks another question. KUCHOMOZA KWA JUA (6) is the proven older rival, with an outstanding Ohi 1200m record and a last-start third behind Magic Elegance that reads well for this. DAIYAME (1) keeps finding the placings and has excellent track-and-distance consistency, but his low win rate makes him a stronger place anchor than a certain winning threat. FULGURITE (13) improved sharply last start when fifth, beaten just over two lengths, and can press for minor money if he holds that form.
9 06:55 Race 9 1600m
LAST LOVE LOVE (1) sets the standard after winning a 3yo COND over 1600m at Ohi by two and a half lengths as a well-supported favourite, and her previous second when beaten just under a length gives the form a solid recent base. HUTAN BEAT (9) is the hardest to price with confidence after finishing last, beaten just under nine lengths, but the class drop and her repeated track-and-distance placings keep her in the winning conversation if she rebounds. ASHANINKA (6) brings honest Ohi form, having run fourth at her past two starts, with the run two back over 1400m beaten just over a length particularly sound; the new 1600m test is the query. TIERED (5) has the best track-and-distance profile of the dangers, with two wins and three places from six, though she must improve off a plain fresh run.
10 07:30 Race 10 1200m
ORANGE MAN (3) brings the most reliable local form into this 1200m contest, having gone under by only half a length to Revuelto Dio in a 3yo COND at Ohi after a sound fourth behind Magic Elegance the run prior. His track-and-distance record gives that form extra substance. MOONLIT RAIN (2) is harder to line up after finishing last at Sapporo, but the class drop and the booking of Takayuki Yano give him a genuine platform to improve sharply. TUM TUM TUM (10) resumes off plain maiden efforts at Hakodate and Tokyo Dirt, yet is assessed as a live improver back in this grade if the freshen-up has helped. SYLPHY (13) is the class-related danger, coming out of a 3yo+ allow at Niigata where he was beaten only four lengths after finishing on. The wide draw and winless profile are the cautions, but his ratings keep him right in the argument.
11 08:10 Race 11 2400m
REBAKE FULL CITY (8) earns top billing after resuming with a length-and-a-half win at Funabashi over 1800m, and the way he charged home suggests the step out to 2400m is the main question rather than a negative. GLUHWURM (5) is the proven Ohi 2400m reference, having won here last start by just under two lengths after missing narrowly at Kawasaki, and his record with Takayuki Yano is a further strength. SERAPHIC CALL (4) returns from a break but his fourth here behind Mikki Fight reads well enough, especially with strong distance figures. O SHIN HALF (6) is the value danger after going close over 1400m here, though the distance rise is a clear test.
12 08:50 Race 12 2000m
FIRST MATE (7) gets the nod in a competitive B3 over 2000m at Ohi. He comes off a determined 1800m win here, beating Alegranza by half a length, and the prior third behind Transient reads well enough to make him the runner with the most reliable recent profile. SAN DIEGO (4) is the immediate threat after charging home to win a 3yo+ C1 by two lengths, with a prior third suggesting that improvement was no one-off. IMONO SODA WARIDE (13) has been consistent without winning this season, placing at both recent starts, and he already has a track-and-distance win to keep him firmly in calculations. WAXING MOON (11) was plain enough over 1400m last start but his previous 1800m win over Alegranza keeps him in the race.
