Ladbrokes Hosted Pots Benchmark 68 Hcp 1400m
Simply Deep should spear straight to the front of the small field. Tricky race. Most are in great form but a few of them definitely are better on the Devonport synthetic. SH'BOURNE POWER (3) was winding up into third in the race won by Stardarmus and Simply Deep second. Does go very well at this course and distance and back to the turf can turn the tables on that pair. SIMPLY DEEP (2) has been in top form and is hard to fault. Has Darmanin stick and actually meets Sh'Bourne Power better for beating him. Has had quite a few tries here though and yet to score. Looks the leader though and expected to give a sight again. TUSKEGEE (1) is a talented galloper in form and on record this course and distance is sure to be in the finish. STARDARMUS (4) is flying with three wins the last four runs but definitely prefer the all-weather to the turf. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sh'Bourne Power will be tough to stop. |

Foot & Playsted Maiden 1100m
Expecting Copper Reign to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sharp trip. LIN THIZZY (3) wound up strongly fresh and was beaten a length in a nice return. Fitter and looks hard to hold out with a repeat of that run. ROLAND VIEW (5) has been close to the winner the last few starts, the latest a fourth at Devonport on the synthetic. Overdue and among the leading chances. MISS STRAT (4) gave a sight last run before a break when hitting the frame. Fitter for two trials and will take running down if on song. TOORAK LAD (2) is back from a long spell and returns for a new yard. Has had a few trials and will be winding up late. POPSY DOODLE (10) is a filly by Stratosphere making her first appearance. Well educated with several trials, the latest fifth at Longford over 800m on August 25. Looks set for a bold opening. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stay with Lin Thizzy. |

ROCT race night 2nd October Maiden 1400m
Genuine tempo with Sir William and Gee Gees Brother pressing for the lead. UNFILTERED (7) is going better than the form suggests and looks close to getting off the mark. Beaten just a length in fourth on the synthetic last time at Devonport and placed at Hobart on the turf the start prior. Placed 2/3 this circuit and gets a chance to break through. SORELL EAGLES (5) is another going better than it looks. Has been winding up strongly, the latest eight after going back to last from a wide gate. Better draw, keeps the leading hoop and will be tough to stop. SYMPHONY QUEEN (8) hit the line hard fresh to place and can only be improved. Placed 2/2 course and distance and looks close to breaking through. SIR WILLIAM (3) is working up to a win. Expected to give a sight. WHITE STAR SUZIE (9) is well back in trip and will be storming home late. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Unfiltered. |

Grab your Summer Social Pass online Class 2 Hcp 1400m
Solid tempo with Dennyson leading from Rippington and Alisent. RIPPINGTON (3) was solid fresh then on speed and drew clear on the turf at Hobart last time in a Class 1. Drawn to go forward and will take beating again. ROYAL DETECTIVE (6) is fitter for two runs back and each time has wound up strongly to place. Looks tough to stop. DENNYSON (2) is also third-up from a spell and comes into this a last start winner of a Class 1 at Hobart. Tricky gate but has early speed and will be in this for a long way. THEM'S THE BREAKS (5) is also a last start winner, scoring over 1880m on the Devonport synthetic. Back in trip but has a good record this circuit at the distance and is hard fit and will run on late. ALISENT (8) has been safely held on the synthetic last two but is a winner here and gets chance to atone. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Rippington. |

Vale Barry Larter Class 1 Hcp 1100m
Expecting Just Plain Nuts to find the lead but there will be plenty of pressure over the sprint trip. DISSALTO (7) is a former Victorian who had his first Tassie start on the synthetic at Devonport and ran very well, finishing third. Better for it and has two wins on the turf. Tricky gate but expected to go close again. ALFARINO (1) returned from a long break in maiden class at Hobart and after getting back wound up strongly to score. Fitter and can go on with it. OUR PEPMENARTIE (4) was well off best on the synthetic last time. Ran very well the start prior on the turf at Hobart and back to that surface today is well worth another chance. GEEGEES ACE (3) wound up strongly at Hobart last time and has since trialled well. Turf winner who will be hard to hold out. MISS LYRA (5) gave a sight from the wide gate last time and can go close again. SUGGESTED PLAY: Follow up on Dissalto. |

Steve & Glenda Parkin Birthday Celebration Maiden/Class 1 1600m
Reasonable tempo with a few going forward, headed by Outsidethesquare. VINRAAM (3) was heavily bet last time out at Hobart and after settling back came home hard to score in a well-timed run by senior rider Sanderson. Looks ideally suited by the mile and is a progressive type. Can measure up again. BAILED (2) is a former Victorian who has had two starts in Tassie for a second on the Devonport synthetic two back then a maiden win there last time. Has upside and should run well again. OUTSIDETHESQUARE (8) is a former Victorian who is a winner from the four starts and wasn't far away last time at Ballarat on the synthetic. Rates well here on best figures and expected to measure up. BELLA CHINKARA (4) is overdue and expected to go close. SOUTH GEORGIA (9) doesn't win often but made a nice return and goes well second-up. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sticking with Vinraam. |

TTC 200th Year merchandise available now Benchmark 64 Hcp 1200m
Solid tempo anticipated with The Wizard King heading them off. BENEFITSOFMINE (1) is a former Victorian who won on debut in Tassie before finishing second last time. Going well and freshened for this. Expected to go close again. MEGALITA (2) has had a short let-up since finishing fifth in a Class 2 last time. Going well and did win only try course and distance. Can atone. ZUNI (9) has a super consistent record this course and distance and after three trials should run well. BILLIE THE GREAT (4) is better than last run and best form by far is on turf. Gets a chance to bounce back. THE WIZARD KING (6) is a former Victorian having first run for the new yard. Fitter for a trial and has claims on best figures. SUGGESTED PLAY: Stick with Benefitsofmine. |
