Solid tempo anticipated with Etched In Blue heading them off. Siding with SCAROLE (7) who has race fitness on his side. He's just found one better at his past couple but a win looks close, trying hard behind a handy one in Boys Bounce last time out. Will roll forward here and take plenty of catching. SAINT FOX (6) was sent out $1.70 last time at Bendigo but perhaps didn't handle the heavy ground. He showed ability on debut and can bounce back. ZOUCITY (8) has been about the mark in both runs to date, well backed in the Boys Bounce race last time when fourth. Improving type who should strip fitter again, go close. MEHSUN (3) resumes with claims in his second local campaign and can figure. MELBOURNE BOY (5) was okay fresh but showed ability last time in and can improve sharply.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Scarole on top.
2 01:45 Thoroughbred Club of Australia Handicap 1600m
Prevention should spear straight to the front of the small field. Tough mare's race. NAINA (1) looks ready to win coming back in grade. She was a surprise winner fresh but has been good since, beaten under a length in a BM78 last time out. Comes back a notch now and will be hard to hold out. ALL BUSINESS (4) comes through the same race as Naina without much luck in a messy race. The effort two back reads well and she can improve. KIWI JENNI (8) is back slightly in trip but will be strong late, she's still got upside at her seventh start. PREVENTION (7) is still relatively lightly raced as well and turns around quickly here. She'll likely lead and take some running down.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Naina on top.

Not a great deal of pace on paper so it may be left to one of the debutants to take it up. VALAROSO (9) resumes having run a good race on debut in The Showdown at Caulfield, a $1 million race behind Big Wigs where they set up a strong speed. Better for that and has won a trial leading in, he should take plenty of beating. INNER GOLD (3) was okay fresh in a strong maiden behind Somethings Burnin' who was well backed on Saturday. Fitter now and should be an improver. Wary of CAB FRANC (1) who is a colt by Frankel for the Maher yard. Out of a G1 winner from New Zealand and has jumped out well enough. LOMU (4) just found one better first up at Mornington in a good effort and showed ability last time in. Up in trip suits better and will take holding out. SOUND SYSTEM (8) can run well fresh.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Valaroso to win.

Anticipate Tuzemak, Hurricane Girl and Capital Affair to set a strong tempo. Siding with the resuming ZOO DAZZLER (15) who was thought highly enough of by connections to debut in the Pierro Plate at Randwick, in the market there but it all came a bit soon. Off a decent spell but has trialled well and can take this out. EGYPTIAN DANCER (3) has been good in the Winter 2yo ranks of late, coming off a let-up here into the new season. Not sure that form is 'A1' so to speak but it's certainly good for a midweek maiden and the Bedggood yard are absolutely flying. HANDEE (5) resumes having run on well on debut behind the smart Simply Steffi. Since spelled, watch the betting for a push. NIALAH (8) resumes for her second campaign. She's contested two good races, the second at Listed level. Don't mind 1100m fresh, consider.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Zoo Dazzler on top.
5 03:30 Sportsbet Race Replays Handicap 1800m
Good early pressure with Rip Current or Talkin' Stern likely to take up the running. Keen to side with KILLENAULE (8) who looks primed for this fourth up from a spell. Three runs this time in have all been very good, chasing hard at Sandown Hillside last time out in a handy race despite covering extra ground. Gets the 2kg claim for Jabez Johnstone and this looks very winnable. TALKIN' STERN (5) is hard to knock having won two in a row, dominant at Seymour over a mile last start. Heavy to dry and up a notch in grade but has upside and can go on with the job. BEST TIME (3) comes through the same race as Killenaule, only beaten 2.5 lengths into fourth there. He should get a nice run and be fighting out the finish. YAMATO SATONA (4) hasn't fired in two runs this time in but is better than that and could improve. BLOW ON THE DICE (7) has won two in a row in easier but can run well.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Killenaule to win.
6 04:05 Quayclean Handicap 1000m
Plenty of pace with Cabriole and La Astro Chat leading from Brenlyn's Legacy. Handy little sprint. Siding with the resuming CABRIOLE (11) who won two in a row to start last campaign, dominant at Geelong and Sale when heavily backed before encountering a very tricky track at Caulfield in a good effort, again when well backed. He's a well-bred, sharp gelding who can take this out fresh. ESMAHLI (5) resumes. He's off a decent spell but is a promising type who won 3/5 in his maiden campaign, including a soft victory on debut. Last seen in G3 company and will be running on strongly. LA ASTRO CHAT (6) is racing okay and sets up well on speed down in grade. SUN SETTING (12) struggles to win with her pattern but is going well and should be flashing late.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Cabriole to win.
7 04:40 Evergreen Turf Handicap 1500m
Just a moderate tempo given the absence of pacy gallopers. IN'KANTOSSTAR (8) is clearly the one to beat and the early betting reflects that. Two starts this time in have resulted in two very soft wins, sent out $1.24 first up and doing it easily before beating Yauson at Geelong who was heavily backed and bolted in next start. Up to 1500m looks ideal and he draws perfectly - only bad luck beats him and other connections agree with a few scratchings shortening the price even further. KATSUMI OROCHI (9) was okay first up behind In'Kantosstar and can improve on drier ground but has a bit to make up. THE BENCHMARK (11) struggled last time but is in the minor mix while ANGLAND (3) would be a hope on best but is struggling for form.  SUGGESTED PLAY: In'Kantosstar to win.
8 05:15 Sportsbet Fixed Odds Exotics Handicap 1200m
Strong tempo from Primal Spirit, Immortal Triumph and Loud Charlie. Tricky finish. LOUD CHARLIE (3) resumes with a nice profile having started at $2.70 here before a spell in a very strong 3yo BM66 behind Savitri who was competitive in a G1 thereafter. 1200m here fresh is the query but he can be sharp enough and Zahra on is a good lead. LONTRICE (8) resumes. He's a lightly raced type who measured up well to a BM72 before a spell and warrants respect. ATTACHMENTS (7) resumes. She started $1.60 in a decent race before a break but had excuses. Wary of any support fresh. THE VOLTA (11) resumes, she'll get back from the gate but has plenty of ability and should be charging home.  SUGGESTED PLAY: Loud Charlie on top.
