Tricky, given the lack of early speed. DECRYPTING GOLD (4) settled back and didn't finish it off here 7 days ago back 360m in distance. The lead-up form was strong and he will carry 3kg less today. Better suited and a top hoop is engaged. ACCLIMATISE (1) has switched from a Victorian stable on a 200-day return. He has trialled well here and the extra gear comes off. May need one but his best would see him in the finish. READ 'EM AND WEEP (5) was plainer here last time but was nudged out at Cairns prior. She has been kept on the fresh side and Stanley is a key jockey switch replacing the apprentice. JOE'S GIGGLE (2) is on a quick backup and tries hard. He won't be far away. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Decrypting Gold. |

One Percent and Chirography will likely pair off in front. Competitive. BINGHAMTON (1) was narrowly beaten here two back as a $2.60 favourite and the money came again at Mackay following but he only held his ground. He returns home freshened 59 days and gets his chance in this lineup. ONE PERCENT (2) is a leader who has been struggling over longer trips. The 1200m suits much better following a freshen and the top hoop stays aboard. He's worth another chance. THE KAMIKAZE (3) is a speedy improver who was nudged out here 7 days ago. He has to run out the extra 200m but presents fitter and the in-form McDonald sticks. CHIROGRAPHY (4) was good following the switch from a Victorian stable and will be better for it. She's a hope as well. SUGGESTED PLAY: Leaning to Binghamton. |

Genuine tempo with Our Impact leading the way. BETTER THAN WORDS (7) resumed sharply improved winning an Open 3 by a space. Raced favourite following and couldn't repeat the dose. She will be better for that and jumps from the inside gate on a 6-day return. Gets another chance. ELECTRIC BRAE (5) led and found Charmed Passage 2L too good in a CL1 on the same day. Will present at peak fitness and is sure to give a sight. I'LLTELLYOUSO (3) rates similarly off a narrow defeat at Cairns. Carries 2.5kg less on a 5-day return and the speedy galloper also has claims. This is harder for OUR IMPACT (2) but he won his Maiden here by 2.5L and has been freshened. Fitter and he's promising. SUGGESTED PLAY: With Better Than Words. |

Genuine tempo from Mr Metrics leading Deluxe Legend. MUTAFIQ (3) has been within range since the 60 win here over shorter. Three-time winning rider Wiggins is reunited and that's a decent push. He's won 2/3 at this course/distance and is on a 5-day backup. Reckon the chances of SPIRIT OF GIVING (6) on the 1.2L defeat at Rockhampton two back. Races over shorter with a big weight last time and has been freshened. A live chance with Stanley staying aboard. SIR MAXIMUS (8) resumed and has won first-up. His best is good enough and he owns a trial win here. Likely to race well. MR METRICS (1) is on a 7-day return and was tracking well before the latest. Comes back in grade and he also has claims. Strong tempo to be established by Wicklow Lass, Nolan and Snitzaroo. NOLAN (4) is a former Victorian who resumed with a 1L defeat at this track/trip. He has plenty up his sleeve and Butler stays aboard. He's been kept on the fresh side and is sure to have come on. CHARTWELL (7) resumes and has switched from a top Sydney stable. May find this a touch short but he's won fresh and Stanley's booking suggests he's pleasing. The rails gate is there to use. HARROW (2) resumes and he missed a whisker here before the break over 1400m. Has an outside barrier but Wiggins is reunited and that helps. Races over a short sprint for the first time and that's a niggle. WICKLOW LASS (6) is racing well and has been briefly freshened. She's sure to be around the mark. SUGGESTED PLAY: Nolan has the form and fitness. |

Arrogant Heart and Prideofthebigfish can be prominent. CATALINA DREAMING (4) has been racing well without winning. Arrives on a 7-day return and Stanley stays aboard. Finally jumps from a low barrier and dropping back to the shorter sprint suits better. FAST MISSILE (1) was a comfortable Maiden winner on debut and has been freshened. Butler sticks and is likely to push forward. He has upside and back-to-back wins can't be ruled out. WEMYSS (6) resumes and is proven fresh. She's capable and will use the inside barrier. The extra gear comes off and keep her onside. Wiggins takes over from Butler on PRIDEOFTHEBIGFISH (3) who presents off a deserved Maiden win. He draws wide and that makes it tougher. SUGGESTED PLAY: Backing Catalina Dreaming. |
