Genuine tempo with the speedy Nishino Sieg leading the way. GRACE CARILLON (2) did a great job to score by 1.5 lengths over today's course and distance when resuming from a layoff last start. Going up a level this time but she is good enough to play a major role. BEER BOY (3) resumes today after filling a minor placing at his last appearance at this track over 1400m on March 18. Now under the care of new trainer Naoto Mizukami. Should be hard to stop. BLESSED THUNDER (10) hasn't been too far away of late, the latest effort a fifth, beaten 2.5 lengths, at Funabashi over 1600m. Has a wide gate again here but will go well if he runs up to his best. PETERS (12) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 2000m at Kawasaki, beaten 6 lengths into ninth. Likely improver with strong top-three prospects.
