Record at this trip is excellent and is a great chance to get the prize again. INVENTION (6) started at $6.50 last time and ran below expectations, finishing sixth and beaten 12 lengths at this track over 2000m after being prominent at the bend. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. YAMATAKE KOCHAN (4) finished 7 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1400m at this track five-and-a-half weeks ago. Steps up in journey today. Drawn to enjoy a nice trail just off the pace. Winning claims on best figures. MANIK (11) was beaten 8 lengths into sixth in a 1800m contest at Funabashi three-and-a-half weeks ago. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
