Apatite Tesoro is the likely leader and should be able to get there comfortably. SAMBURU (4) was safely held when seventh last start over 1500m at Kawasaki, beaten 11 lengths after being prominent at the bend. That followed a good first-up win at Kawasaki. Going up a level this time but he deserves plenty of thought. APATITE TESORO (10) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1200m at Nakayama Dirt, beaten 3 lengths into sixth. Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. BALCANICUS (7) finished third over 1400m at this track at his most recent appearance on February 23. Worth plenty of thought. ESPRIT AKIRASAN (9) got the prize two runs ago but couldn't follow that up last time out when fourth over 2000m at Ohi, beaten 5 lengths. In contention this time.
