Without an obvious leader, it may be left to Jasmina, Not Guilty and Excelaot to control the tempo. APRES (1) resumes. He showed some ability in two runs last time in, close up on debut at Kilmore before being tested in a stronger maiden in town and struggling. He's won a trial leading in for the top yard and finds a winnable race fresh. LEVRIER (13) is a 2yo gelding by Shalaa who debuts for the Matt Laurie yard. He's jumped out well, winning one, and the stable should be respected here. NOT GUILTY (5) ran a good race on debut at Werribee when beaten just a head into third. Expect improvement on that and he draws to take catching. JASMINA (10) ran quite well off a very long spell at Kilmore and should only improve off that. SUGGESTED PLAY: Apres to win.
