B B XANDER (3) scored three outings in a row then was below his best last time when seventh over 1500m at this track. Can bounce right back here. OILMAN (1) was safely held last start when fifth at this track and distance after jumping from a wide gate. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset and is one to consider. WATER GENIE (5) missed the frame last start over 1500m at this track, finishing fifth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
