Plenty of pace from Arafura Sea and Villa Treville matching motors ahead of Sparkingly. SPARKINGLY (3) has found the line well to pick up minor prizes at his last two runs, both times over 900m. Looking for this trip now. Should settle closer to the speed over this trip from an ideal draw and he looks ready to win. Promising mare VILLA TREVILLE (1) returns after a ten-month spell. Closed last prep with back-to-back wins over today's journey. Went well in a recent Scone trial and looks ready for a bright return. POCKET PICKER (4) disappointed as favourite last time out over 1100m at Armidale. Worth another chance with winkers applied for the first time. ARAFURA SEA (11) steps up in grade but can improve from a better gate off a one-month freshen up. GERETY (2) is a chance first-up from the Kris Lees stable. Two recent trials should have her ready to run. SUGGESTED PLAY: Sparkingly to grab a well-deserved win.
