GOING: G(3)

Hertz F&M BM64 Handicap 1000m

Track: GOOD 3   Clear (Max: 24)   Rail: Out 6m Entire Circuit. (Pent: 5.29).

Good early tempo with Aminatu leading the way. RUBICON CROSSING (3) won her Australian debut fresh up earlier in the season and seems to be at her best early in her preps at this stage of her career. She resumes at an easier level than what she faced at the back end of her last campaign and the way her stable is firing at the moment, she is the one to beat. AMINATU (1) can find the 1200 metres of her last start a touch too far at city level and she is better placed over the shorter journey here. A 3-kilo claim from in-form apprentice Logan Bates will help and she is expected to bounce straight back into the money here. CHARMED RUN (4) tackled some strong fields last prep and performed with merit. Her recent spell would have done her the world of good and with the benefit of the pole position, she can take this out. SUGGESTED PLAY: Rubicon Crossing to win.
