Purton remains in the irons for today's assignment and the pair have drawn a much better gate this time. Can sit a little closer and win without surprising. RUBYLOT (1) tried hard behind a dominant winner last start to grab second right on the line. The draw may be sticky with his racing pattern, but trust McDonald to get things right. Has ability, he just needs to put it all together. DREAM PURSUER (2) is racing well of late. Worth noting Bowman has ridden a couple of others in this race recently and now rides this gelding.
