Genuine pace headed by Thetta Reddast from his wide alley. TODAY IS THE DAY (13) returns from a break of nine months. Genuine performer last prep whose most recent appearance resulted in a win over 1800m at this track. Goes very well when fresh including two wins. Expected to continue the good form from last campaign this time around. Grade 3 winner GRATIAS (1) turned in a strong run two starts ago in stakes class at Nakayama then failed to back it up over 1800m in Listed grade at Hanshin last time, beaten 3.5 lengths into eighth. Looks better placed over this shorter trip so looks sure to feature. Grade 2 placegetter ASAHI (9) is back after a break of 11 weeks. Looking to emulate his win at Tokyo when returning from a spell last prep. Definite top-three chance. ROUGE ECLAIR (7) didn’t threaten when resuming last start over 1800m in the G3 Nakayama Himba Stakes, finishing tenth, beaten 3.5 lengths. Second up record is very strong. Should be much improved.
