Anticipating a solid early tempo with plenty of pace engaged. The final G1 of the day and Cox Plate heroic ROMANTIC WARRIOR (1) is the one to beat again. Just an outstanding racehorse who has the early speed to offset the sticky alley. They couldn't beat him in December off an arguably worse set up and with everything geared towards this, he'll take plenty of beating. DUBAI HONOUR (2) is one who probably didn't show is best here 12 months ago but has been aimed at this race this time around. Good win to blow out the cobwebs at Kempton on the All Weather and he should be peaking for this. Soggy track doesn't hurt his chances. PROGNOSIS (4) was very impressive in the G1 Kinko Sho 49 days ago and comes into this breathing fire. Been a good thing beaten his last two trips to HK and figures suggest he's as good as Romantic Warrior without being given as good a chance. Today might be his day. MASSIVE SOVEREIGN (11) was huge in the derby and has to be respected. HISHI IGUAZU (3) was close in December and is worth keeping safe.

Coming into this breathing fire after a big win last start. Needs some luck but is more than capable. |
