KEN AMBITIOUS (2) returns from a 71-day spell. Concluded the last prep with a minor placing in a maiden steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura, beaten 10 lengths. Nicely-placed and expected to go very well. T M MAGIC (5) returned from a spell last start and was on debut over the jumps. Could only manage sixth on that occasion, beaten 5.5 lengths, in a maiden steeplechase (2750m) at Fukushima. One of the genuine hopes in the race. TOSEN TRAM (8) finished eighth last time out over 1800m at Nakayama two months ago. Now taking on jumps racing for the first time. Sure to be well-schooled and is going to be hard to beat. ENERGY POCO A POCO (9) is yet to land a glove in two runs this preparation. Resumed with a fourth in a maiden steeplechase (2860m) at Kokura then was 12 lengths away in a maiden steeplechase (2880m) at Nakayama 49 days ago. No surprise to see him back in form.
