From the wide draw Lily Bobtail can cross and set up a solid tempo. VIIPURI (4) resumes a gelding for the Snowden camp and has been tuned up with two trials. He was a dominant maiden winner on debut back in October, so he clearly has the talent and can fire fresh. The draw is sticky, but he looks more than capable of overcoming it. OUR EMILY (6) lengthened beautifully to score at Gunnedah and will only improve off that. If they can make full use of the low draw, she’ll be very hard to stop. NEVERMISTA (5) has become the perennial bridesmaid, placing in all eight runs this prep. He doesn’t need to find much — just that final killer blow. SAPPHIRE KISS (3) was strong winning at Taree two back before a run that was simply too bad to be true last time. With the winning rider back aboard, she deserves another chance. LILY BOBTAIL (10) bounced back with a better effort at Scone and, despite the wide alley, has the speed to cross and give a sight. Keep safe. SUGGESTED PLAY: Viipuri to return a winner.
