It's likely to be tactical given scant early speed. JIMMY BEANS (5) ran a strong race on debut at Sandown Hillside over 1500m, getting back in the field there off a fast speed but really knuckling down late for second to one with consistently strong form. He clearly relished a stamina test there and should improve out to 1800m. Lane goes on from a soft draw and he should be taking care of these. NOTHIN' WONG HERE (3) resumes having placed in both runs last time in, narrowly beaten at $1.70 before the break. He's only off a short spell here and if he's been kept up to the mark he has the ability to challenge. SENSATIONAL RULER (4) did enough first up at Cranbourne over 1400m with improvement to come. He could do better up in trip. BEST TIME (2) has been thereabouts in both runs back and should be at peak fitness now. SHAW CAN FLY (6) could be an improver this time around off a good trial win. SUGGESTED PLAY: Jimmy Beans to win.
